Rivers & Roads

So I have entered into my last month here in Gent. I have bought a plane ticket back to the USA for the 20th of May which is a little bitter sweet. I really love Gent and being here with Simon, meeting all these new people and kind of, sort of, learning this new language (I got Rosetta Stone!) but I am also excited to be with my family and friends this summer. And what is even more exciting is that Simon will be coming to the USA for July and August! I am really happy he gets to meet the whole family, it may be a bit overwhelming but I think he is excited too. We have lots of fun things planned like going to Red Rocks, Cape Cod, NYC, Barneveld, and maybe even a road trip from California to Colorado with Ella and Lulu.

As for my last few weeks here in Belgium we have some very fun things planned! This weekend everyone has Thursday and Friday off so Simon and I and two friends are taking a little road trip to France! We are going to Mont Saint-Michel and camping in a few other towns along the way. We haven't done much traveling yet so I am excited to see a bit more of Europe and this part of France looks really beautiful. Then the next weekend we are going back to the Sea with some of Simon's friends from Boy scouts. Below are some photos form the past few weeks. You will find some photos from the great flower market Gent has every Sunday where we purchased out wonderful Smiley with grass hair. Some photos of us playing Kubbs, a game Simon has introduced me too. A bit hard to explain here but basically you through wooden sticks to try and knock down the other persons blocks; doesn't sound too special but it is really fun and I will attempt to bring it to America. Also a few more photos of the adorable lamb that one of Simon's sheep had. They are expecting one more which is very exciting. Anywho, enjoy and next week I will upload photos from France!
