Last week Simon had to go get a special driving license for a certain machine at his job and the location he had to go to was much closer to his parents house than Gent so I went back there with him and hung out at their house for the day. His parents were on vacation in Italy so I got to hang with their dog, Pluche, and just walk around the beautiful town the live in, Zwalm. There are many farms and animals all around their house so it was quite nice to walk around with Pluche and enjoy the spring weather. Then later later in the week I took a trip to another great museum here in gent, STAM. It tells the story of Gent's history from the past to the present. The museum was really great, it is located in an old Abbey with a beautiful exhibition explaining that history of Gent. But it also very aware of how much Gent is changing today and offers the visitors a chance to put in their input of what they think should happen with some of Gent's old churches and so forth.

Simon and I have also made some progress on our summer plans. Right now it is looking like I will be flying back to the USA on May 20th. I will fly into NYC and staying there for a few weeks in order to go to by Canterbury 5th year reunion. Then I will be flying back to Colorado on June 10th. We are hoping that Simon can join me at the beginning of July and stay until the end of August! We have not fully planned out what his trip will entail but probably some road trips around Colorado, back to the east coast for our trip to Cape Cod and the who knows maybe some time in Barneveld and maybe even a trip out to California to see Ella! Still lots of planning to do, but I am very excited he is coming to the US and will get a chance to meet everyone! Enjoy the pictures below, the first few are from around Gent then they move into Zwalm and STAM.
